Anamaria is an Romanian actor. Her debut on screen was through Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film Sex Traffic where she received the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. She is fluent in French, German English, and Romanian. Her mother was a violinist The father of her is a professor of theater at one of Romania's most prestigious theater schools. Won the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award in The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board named her as a European Shooting Star in 2008. She starred as a Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 luni3 two days (four months three weeks and 2 days) in which she was honored with three weeks, four months and two days) which was awarded the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Also, she was in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar in the BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role in an episode of the Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. Later, she had a major role in 2014's Fury in which she played Irma the German mother of Emma.
