
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English actress as well as a media personality and singer. Since 2007 she has been an judge on the popular television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent on ITV. On weekday mornings, she co-hosts Heart Breakfast radio with Jamie Theakston. Holden was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire. She spent a lot of her early years in Bishop's Waltham. When she was nine years old, she joined the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden was also in TV in three series of Kiss Me Kate, starring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham. She was also participant in three ITV series The Grimleys and Celeb with Harry Enfield episodes. A Boxing Day special Agatha Christie's Marple episode "4.50 From Paddington" featuring Geraldine McEwan and John Hannah. He co-starred with Bill Nighy (and Tom Courtenay) in Ready When You Are Mr. McGill, Jack Rosenthal's comedy drama. Along with Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell, Holden is a judge on Britain's Got Talent. She joined the show in 2006.
